I’ve just discovered another bug in Emby iOS 1.8.1 and hope this is fixed in 1.X.X but when you go to settings, Playback, try and change the quality of home, internet or chromecast the menu spins out and does not select the dropdown menu correctly, keep tapping the screen and your selecting the checkbox for play default audio track? I have to exit the app and then launch it again but it’s in an endless loop of glitching out?

 

When are you going to have a stable product for once?

Chromecast is still slow to launch the playback controls?

12.4 yeah it’s hard to show you what exactly it’s doing, I don’t have an Android where I can show you the touchscreen points in the screen under debug mode.

I just discovered this as well. Here are some steps:

-Use an iPhone XR or Xs Max

-In portrait mode on and iPhone attempt to change the playback settings on Video Quality, Music Quality and Advanced. Enable /Disable Play Next Episode automatically and enable next episode info during playback.

- When finished tweaking click the home or back buttons.

- if some buttons do not work switch to landscape mode and they will work.

 

Observed Behavior:

-Touching dropdowns and checkboxes activates the incorrect dropdown and checkbox.

-The Back Button and Home Button do not work in Landscape Mode.

-If a control does not work on Portrait Mode you can most likely get it to work on landscape mode.

Working fine here, but there could be a number of discrepancies between your setup and mine.

 

My setup is the following:

iPhone 7 on iOS 13.1b1

Emby App version 1.8.1 (beta 6)

Emby Server Beta 4.3.0.6

Hi, yes I was able to reproduce this on certain devices, and 1.8.2 has gone out to address this. Thanks for the feedback.

If a movie is 4K quality and has 7.1 TrueHD surround sound I can’t choose the quality of playback it streams at?

 

It always switches to 4K - 40mbps and I can’t select my actual speed, I’ve changed the playback settings to 1080p - 50Mbps but that gets ignored?

 

Please fix this bug

Thanks Luke! The fix resolved the issues on the Playback Settings as well.
