Diav70 0
Hi I have a very large library and been using Plex but wanted to give Emby a try. I installed it last week and added a library with over 700 shows and it all seemed to work fine and seemed faster and smoother than Plex. So I decided to purchase the lifetime pass. I then added the rest of my libraries and now it has become unusable. It takes forever to load up the home screen even if it does at all, it just hangs on the spinner. I try to reconnect to the server and then it says it can't. So I go onto my Synology device and restart Emby server that takes ages to get started again but then seems to work fine for a while until I try to log in again and have the same problems again. I have a Synology DS 415+ That has no problem playing all media that I have so far thrown at it. The client I am using to access the server is the Xbox client but I also have issues when accessing through Chrome browser and android app. Both the Xbox and the Synology are plugged with Eithernet cables directly into the router. Luke 37099
Hi there @@Diav70, we're sorry to hear about this. Can you please attach the emby server log from when you had a problem? You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks !
Diav70 0
Hi Luke Thanks for the reply. I have just reinstalled the software on my Synology and also replaced and old network switch and bought some new cat 7 cables. So when I have sorted all that out then I will reinstall Emby and see how it goes. Will reply if i still have issues. Steven
