jandrews333 4
I am trying to install MB Classic 3.0.163.0. When installing I receive the error Error Executing - C:\Windows\ehome\eshell.exe /nostartupanimation/entrypoint:{CE32C570 -4BEC -4aeb-AD1D-Cf47B91DE0B2}\\{FC9ABCCC-47ac-8BAB-03E8EF5F6F22} System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception The system cannon find the file Specified. I had Media Browser Theater installed but uninstalled and rebooted before trying the Classic install. This is running on Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64 Thank you
ebr 14935
You need Windows Media Center for MBC.

Martin 2
I am also having a problem to install MBC. I had the previous version 2 running and we were mates. I downloaded both the MB Server 3 and MB Classic 3 setup files. The Server software installs flawlessly. The Classic does not get past the point of actually downloading the complete installation file (As indicated on the screen snips attached) Steps as follows: 1.Media Browser Classic 2. Downloading Media Browser Classic (version 3.0.163.0)... 3. Error Downloading Package. There may be a problem communicating with the update server. Please try again. System.Net.WebException An exception occurred during a WebClient request. The End. The two machines that I've tried this on are both x64 Windows 7 Home Premium with Media Center tested and running for years. Is there perhaps a download link for the full installation file from a server or sharing site?
ebr 14935
Looks like it is timing out trying to download. Make sure you don't have any proxy or anything else mucking with the transmission.
Martin 2
I agree at first approach but I can't seem to figure out from where. I've been having this problem for several months now. It doesn't help for me to download it from elsewhere as it is not an installation file that I can use on the machine at home.
ebr 14935
Make sure you don't have any anti-malware going that might be messing with it.
mcdonis 0
There isn't any log because I don't think its actually installing. I checked the folder per your request and the only files in the log are from over a year ago when I installed and used. Everytime I try to download it saves a setup file which I run, it says its installing but only brings up WMC with no options for Media Browser. Also no files are installed as far as I can tell. Is this all because I have MB3 installed?
ebr 14935
Is this all because I have MB3 installed? I don't understand that statement - you are trying to install part of MB3... If WMC is starting up there will definitely be an install log in the install logs folder indicated in that post. If you have a problem with installation, we will need the logs found in %appdata%\MediaBrowser-InstallLogs\
