Jonny67 2
I upgraded from 4.0.2.0. I click on the Emby App on my QNAP TS 453 Pro. It tries to go to this URL http://192.168.1.2:8096/web/index.html but all I get is a blank screen. When I click on my Windows 10 client is says "The Emby Server needs to be updated. Download from..." Looks like it's not updated properly. Or is it making significant changes and taking a while? What can I do? Can I go back to the previous version? PenkethBoy 2063
Need more information How did you update - i.e. the steps you went through What version of the server did you download - is it the correct version for your qnap
Jonny67 2
Thanks for your quick reply but I might have been a bit hasty. I decided to update my QNAP's firmware and it now seems to be working. Not sure if it was the firmware update which did it or I just needed to wait a little longer for any changes to be completed in the emby install. But to answer your question I clicked the install link within the Emby server app itself which took me to the QNAP install page so it was the correct package. PenkethBoy 2063
The way i update is as follows - dont have any issues - or not in last 6-8 months Shut down Emby server from the dashboard - give it a few seconds to do so Go to app centre and "Stop" emby server Download the correct package from the emby website install manually via app centre the package you just downloaded Then in App Centre "start" the emby server Depending how powerful your qnap is - give it at least a couple of mins to boot and be responsive Then try and connect If you dont shut emby down and dont stop the app - you will get problems Edited April 29, 2019 by PenkethBoy
