Did you confirm the problem occurs with it?
F1nchy 24
Yes, same problem. It's from uk Freeview HD channel recording via my hdhomerun, I believe UK HD channels are x264 mpeg ts. It was a ts, I just used avidemux to top and tail it and save as MP4 with no encoding (ie a straight remix of the original, just trimmed down) I thought channel 5 HD was interlaced, maybe it's not. Not of my hdhomerun recordings done via Elmy play back on the 4k shield stick Edited April 18, 2019 by F1nchy
maegibbons 1267
Hi He is right. Peppa pig DOES lock up a 4K fire stick. Video freezes at approx 1st frame - audio continues. App is locked up. Krs Mark
ebr 14921
If even transcoding it doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what we can do...
F1nchy 24
No, I dont think there is much, it sounds like it's a Fire TV 4k stick issue that Amazon will hopefully resolve. Do you guys have any contact with Amazon support to resolve issues? It's clearly causing issues for apps like Emby that are trying to play back recordings from tv adapters such as HDHomerun.
