gilco2 0
Hi I am new to emby and not sure with TV Shows. Have searched here but havent found an answer so may have missed it if answered. With 3rd rock from the sun and 13 Reasons why for example the TV Series season 1, season 2 etc are displayed in just 1 folder called seasons. In TV Series the 4400 and the 100 for example Season 1. season 2 and season 3 etc are all displayed in their separate folders. The series are all labeled correct so not sure why all seasons are lumped in 1 folder called Seasons. I like them all to be displayed Seaon 1. Season 2 etc. Cant find why that happens on some but not all
Luke 37112
Hi there, what does your tv folder structure look like? thanks.
gilco2 0
I have main folder TV Shows then sub folder for each series. TV Shows/3rd Rock from the sun/ 3rd rock from the sun. season 1 and then the other folders 2,3,4. The main folder TV SHows then subfolder The 4400 then in that folder The 4400 season 1, The 4400. Season 2 etc. for better explanation. Then in each folder for example The 4400 S01E01, the 4400 S01E02 etc edit. just had another look and in each case all episodes and metadata is correctly identified, just all in 1 folder. in case of 3rd rock from the sun all season are shown in 1 folder which is season 3. p,lex and kodi have them listed in correct seasons folders/ Edited April 14, 2019 by gilco2
gilco2 0
I paid lifetime as looked good and only way to play on emby theatre. SHould have tried music because it says no compatible streams to play. And havent been able to fix TV Series being in own series folder rather than lumped in one. At least Kodi and Plex works. So gone back to Plex and forget emby. Thanks for replying but I am now gone but will try maybe in 6months see if it works. Thanks
Luke 37112
Do you have a Seasons sub-folder underneath your 3rd rock from the sun series folder?
gilco2 0
yes as I said above. Its more than 1 series have the problem. All tV series have the main folder Like eg. The 100 then subfolders The 100 season 1, The 100 season 2 etc then in each subfolder eg The 100. Seaon 1, the episodes are The 100 S01E01, The 100 S01E02 etc. All are like that. Luke 37112
So you have it like this: 3rd rock from the sun\seasons\season 1\3rd rock from the sun S00E01.mkv Is that correct?
gilco2 0
yes. thats correct. In all the tv series affected, all series and episodes are correctly scraped and episode and descriptions correct. Only problem was they were all put in one folder. in 3rd rock from the sun all put in seasons 3 folder. First episode is season 1 episode 1. scroll down through them and you get to season 2 and it is correctly identified and labeled episode 1. Just in season 3 folder. All seasons in season 3 folder. The others TV Series the same just not always a season 3 folder.
Luke 37112
Why do you need that extra "seasons" layer?
gilco2 0
no extra layer. example folder Tv Series. then in that folder all the tv shows. Then So TV Shows/then folder/ then episodes. So Say show called Run. TV Series is main folder. The Run is the series. In that folder is Series 1,series 2 etc to keep episodes separate. No good having Say RUN then s01e0,s02e01 all in 1 folder. Keep them in their own series folder as per recommended in Plex and Kodi wikis. Anyway virtually given up on it. Music videos say not compatible so re encode and it plays. Add another music video then the original becomes not compatible. Just too much hassle. Kodi and plex work as should. Plex wont recognize all movies so have to manually
