Mytre 1
I saw a post about it ,and for 150$ you get a motherboard with al ittle case and psu, it uses laptop ram and has space for 2 storage devices on nvme m2 ports and 2 sata ports for 2 2.5 devices. I plan on selling an old xeon server and build an emby server using that little box with the 2400g which has a better passmark score than the xeon 2430L. Anyone has used that barebones pc to instal their own emby server?

Hmm how are plan add space you be limited 2.5" 2x2TB 7mm or 2x5TB 15mm as need at less a 1mm of air gap you better ask Asrock what the max drive height is and SSD our around 7mm to 9.5 in height

The setup would be a m2 nvme ssd for o.s and emby server, while starting with a 2tb 2.5 hdd. My only issue is thermals after long periods of use which is why I wanted to know if someone had it here and if they run into any issue.
rbjtech 4264
Hmmm - you mount the HDD on the underside of the motherboard - and from the looks of it, the bottom of the case has no ventilation holes - so that HDD is going to get hot imo as it has no air flow .. SHSPVR 119
If you can water cooled it then the thermals should stay low Edited March 26, 2019 by SHSPVR
rbjtech 4264
If you can water cooled it then the thermals should stay low ..sort of defeats the object of having a SFF - plus you are never going to get a pump and rad in that.. Air cooling is just fine (it has a 120mm fan to cool all the components, but unless there is some way of air getting under the motherboard, then what's to cool the HDD's ? It looks like a nice unit - but I'd monitor the temp of any HDD's in it if it were mine.

It meant as little sarcasm bubby I know it not gone fix in that case being that a bit smaller then a power suppy The HDD should be fine just stick 5400 rpm one's As fan up grade with some from Noctua like a NH-L12S, NH-L9x65
