William LeDuc @gmail 2
I had been using the "More Like This" suggestions when playing music videos. Now they don't appear any more.
Luke 37112
Hi there, do your music videos have genres assigned?
William LeDuc @gmail 2
I think I know what may have caused this. I have like 1500 music videos that were presented by Emby just fine with the file name as the name of the video. There is a lot of metadata in the file name. Very recently when I added more music videos the file name was no longer being displayed as the name of the video. Instead, the song name appeared, which was incorrect many time and I lost metadata on the Emby display of the videos. I suspected this was caused by IMVDb, but why now, what was changes and I had no means of adjusting it. So I disabled IMVDb. That solved the problem, but what's worse I had to manually change the metadata back to the file name for each video. Only had about 15 videos to do. I fail to see why refreshing the metadata would not fix the problem. So 99.9% of my music video still have the same metadata they have always had before IMVDb started mangling the music video name and yet Emby is not showing "More Like This". So I turned IMVDb back on and still no "More Like This". So what triggers Emby to do "More Like This"? And by the way, none of my videos have genres assigned by me or by IMVDb. Sorry for the long winded response, but i thought it was important to know what has transpired. I think the Emby documentation should be much more complete. Trying look for answers via forum is far from optimal. I think Emby is a great product, but there is definitely some frustrating parts to using it. Luke 37112
Thanks for the feedback. Yes IMVDb can be very picky about naming, and if you don't match what it expects it can lead to unexpected results. Thanks.
