shrouski 7
Hi I'm running Emby 4.0.3.0 on Windows 10. Every time the server launches, it's prompting me to install VC++ 2017 14.15.26706 x64. I already have a later version 14.16.27012 installed so Windows will not allow it to be installed. While not really an issue to click cancel if it's a manual reboot, Emby doesn't actually start if the VC++ installer is not finished (or closed), so a power surge or updates restart and it will just sit at a "Emby is starting" or so page when trying to access via the web. softworkz 3350
It's unbelievable, but MS have screwed it once again. For the third time if I'm counting right. This time: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/383873/vc-runtime-redistributable-update-for-vs-159-delet.html Previous: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/262841/vc-runtime-redistributable-update-deletes-registry.html Please manually install the latest version where this is supposed to be fixed again from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads (at the time of writing, it's version 14.16.27027) For other readers: Unless you encounter that specific problem, there's no need to upgrade the VC redistributable. Emby just needs the one that it includes.
