heula 189
I recently bought a Nvidia Shield TV and installed Kodi on it. So now I have the same setup as I had before on my Windows PC. The issue is that sometimes but often enough to create a topic for it, I have a delay of 10 - 20 seconds before I can go further after stopping a video. In the meanwhile my screen stays black. I have no idea why this is but is annoying me and the complains from my wife do not help either you will understand . All my media is streamed from my Synology DS418 NAS and when we are home I have configured the Nas to do nothing but stream when asked. No downloading of any kind is happening than. What could cause this annoying delay? kodi.log Emby Server Log.txt Thanks. Edited March 9, 2019 by heula
Angelblue05 4130
I don't know why, but somehow you have cleanonupdate enabled in your advancedsettings.xml The add-on should be disabling that for you. Not sure why it didn't do it's job. But that is why you have that annoying delay. Disable it and you won't have it anymore.

Sometimes I see that deleted items do remain in the library. Even after restarting Kodi. The only way to get these already deleted items removed from the library is to do it manually via Kodi or do a Emby library update in Kodi. How is that possible? Angelblue05 4130
I do not have this issue. Are you sure you are just not waiting long enough? The addon sends the delete request to the server, then the server does it’s thing and sends out a remove event. That’s when the delete in Kodi should happen. It’s not always but some times. When I click one of these already deleted episodes I get a popup that the file is no longer in the library and Kodi asks me if I want the remove it from the library. Should the Kodi option “Update library on startup” be enabled or disabled for the best results?
