jeffu231 1
I may be interested in doing some development on the Emby platform. Is the Samsung Tizen client code open and available somewhere? I found the code for the older model on Github, but I don't see a project for the Tizen. Jeff
Luke 37191
Hi, it's currently not open source, sorry.
jeffu231 1
That is disappointing. I was hoping things were more open and I could possibly contribute. Thanks for the reply. Jeff
FrostByte 5055
Maybe you could start with the Orsay community app which hasn't had a developer in awhile and needs some updating.
jeffu231 1
All of my Samsung TV's are Tizen, so I would not have a platform to use for testing. I am evaluating switching from Plex because of the closed nature of how they do things, and my client options are Tizen or Roku. The Emby clients for both of those platforms have bugs/shortcomings that prevent them from being fully viable for my use cases. The Roku client is closer, but still a bit rough with Live TV / DVR functions.
FrostByte 5055
Okay, np. The Orsay SDK has an emulator and I of course am willing to test anything, but I understand it's a lot easier if you have your own TV for testing also
