alferz 3
In Emby Movies when I select a movie, I get a screen that lets me view information about that movie and a resume/play button. In TV Shows, recorded from live TV using a cable card I get this same screen when I select the "Next Up" or "Continue Watching" options. But if I click into a particular season, I get a different vertical list of episodes from that season and when I select one, instead of getting the normal screen where I can choose to Play or Resume, it just starts playing at whatever location I stopped at last. This makes it very difficult to rewind to the beginning without using a mouse. It seems like we should get the same Resume/Play screen when selecting a show from a season list, no? Anybody have any ideas on how to resolve that?
Luke 37093
This is by design to reduce click counts. It's something we'll review for a future update. thanks.
AdrianW 1053
This has been an issue for a long time. It also prevents users from using some of the new functionality like selecting versions / subtitles / audio tracks prior to playback. In the original ET you could press the "play" button at this screen to play the episode or press "enter" to get to the details screen.
raymondjpg 9
This is by design to reduce click counts. It's something we'll review for a future update. thanks. For me the loss of functionality is too great a price to pay for "reduced click counts". There are a number of posts that outline why the episode details screen is valuable to users. When I asked for this a month or two ago I was advised that restoration of an episode details option screen "was to be done". "Something we'll review" implies less of a commitment to me but I'm open to acknowledge that it might be a misinterpretation on my part.
