jonomite 29
Greetings, I am using the stable build of Emby for Kodi on the latest Kodi 18 nightly. Everything has been working swimmingly, and I just had one question. I have a home videos library on my Kodi server that I can't seem to access through Emby for Kodi. Or maybe I can and I just don't know how to do it. I have synced all available libraries to Kodi, and I checked the "Videos" menu in the default Estuary skin and didn't see anything appear. Am I missing something? Many thanks!
Angelblue05 4130
Home videos is a dynamic library, it's not synced. Under Video add-ons > Emby for Kodi you'll find it.

I could also install a custom skin and point a menu item to it as well, right? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4130
Yes, that is correct. I highly recommend Embuary. It offers extra features to go along with Emby for Kodi.

I still only see movies, TV, and music. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4130
They are directly provided by Emby for Kodi. To view them, you have to open Emby for Kodi. Then you'll see all your libraries. Add-ons > Video add-ons > Emby for Kodi > Home Videos. Let me know if I misunderstood what you are asking about. Angelblue05 4130
Is the library available to the user? Emby dashboard > users > user > access. You don’t need to do anything special, it should just be there, as it grabs the listing from the user on the server when Kodi is restarted. jonomite 29
Yes. I confirmed that I can access it in Embuary (it appears at the top) but I just can't seem to find it in the add-on menu. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Solution Angelblue05 4130 Posted January 27, 2019 Solution Share Posted January 27, 2019 Oh right, I am being silly. Home Videos and photos display under picture add-ons. That is because pictures don't display correctly if the shortcut is a video add-on shortcut.
