TheShanMan 34
I'm trying to get the Emby Guide Data to work and I'm still getting the guide data that I think was coming from Next PVR instead, (I've disabled the Next PVR service). Is it because I don't have a TV Source configured? And that's the other part of my question. I have a Hauppauge but detecting it fails and manually choosing it fails too. Yet it works with Next PVR. How do I get the TV Source and Emby Guide Data working?
Luke 37096
Currently you cannot use emby guide data with next pvr, so you'd have to continue to run that through next pvr. It's possible for the future though.
TheShanMan 34
Good to know but why can't I disable next pvr and choose Hauppauge as my TV Source?
Luke 37096
You can also do that if you prefer.
TheShanMan 34
I would if I could but like I said, it fails to be detected and it fails if I pick Hauppauge from the list even though it works with Next PVR. It's an HVR 2250. Is that not compatible or something?
Luke 37096
Are your hauppauge drivers up to date?
TheShanMan 34
I just updated them to the latest version from Hauppauge's website and confirmed them in device manager. Same error messages from Emby.
arrbee99 1560
Do you need WinTV 8 or 8.5 as well ? Have seen it suggested, just not sure if its a definite requirement.
ebr 14925
Do you need WinTV 8 or 8.5 as well ? Have seen it suggested, just not sure if its a definite requirement. Yes, I believe so because that is what has the API we are using.
TheShanMan 34
I see that WinTV requires purchasing a license, so before I do that can I get confirmation that Emby will support my HVR 2250 once I install WinTV. I have no use for WinTV otherwise so I'd like to avoid purchasing it for nothing.
Luke 37096
It will yes. You'll need to make sure that wintv shows all the channels.
TheShanMan 34
It kinda worked. It detects my device and appears to fetch guide data but the Live TV section has disappeared from the user's home page. I can get to Live TV on a desktop via the hamburger menu and that allows me to watch TV but the guide lists channels but no guide data. I've restarted my server but that made no difference. Luke 37096
I would check the mapping tool to ensure that tuner channels are mapped to guide channels.
TheShanMan 34
Yeah there's a long list of mappings.

Luke 37096
None of those channels are mapped. If they were, you'd see the channel they're mapped to underneath the name. Try clicking the pencil next to one of them.
Carlo 4330
When they are mapped correctly the screen will look like this:

TheShanMan 34
Yeah, that was it. Boy, that was super unintuitive. Really needs some improvement to make clear that action needs to be taken because seeing pairs of numbers along with names sure looked like mappings to me.
