hooray4me 52
I have a strange issue with Emby for Fire TV (Current Version) and am able to reproduce it. When watching a show, recorded tv or a movie, if we pause for more than a minute, when it resumes it plays normal for about 30 seconds, then the audio clips out and then slowly fades back in (about a 10 second duration). It plays fine after that. It doesn't happen with with web browser. I can reproduce it on 2 different emby servers. Both servers are on 3.5.3. The audio output is optical. Attached are a snippet of logs. I reproduced the audio cut out after a pause between 17:53 and 17:57ish. The Fire TV in question is 172.17.17.10 (private ip space so not worried about posting ) Thoughts? emby.log Edited January 3, 2019 by robrhedrick

hooray4me 52
If it helps, i'm almost certain it is a client side issue. Also this is a Toshiba Fire TV edition tv... I can't reproduce on a fire tv stick.
ebr 14925
Yeah, this is a new one on me but it does sound hardware related.
Luke 37099
Does this happen with all videos, or only certain types?
hooray4me 52
It happens with all media... tv shows, movies, live tv and recorded.
hooray4me 52
Also the pause duration has to exceed a certain amount of time... I haven't figured out exactly what the threshold is yet. It doesn't happen with a 30 second pause... but 2 minute pause causes it to happen.
Luke 37099
Is audio connected to a receiver or direct to the TV?
hooray4me 52
Optical audio is directly connected to the Toshiba Fire TV edition.
