solabc16 379
Hi @@softworkz Ok, understood, and just to clarify 'vainfo' and 'ffdetect' (with the latest beta) are both available and installed by default with both the 'netframework' and 'netcore' packages for Synology/XPEnology. For reference, users can run them as follows, once they've SSH'd into their systems as 'admin'... netframework cd /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/ffmpeg/bin/ sudo ./vainfo sudo ./ffdetect [command line] netcore cd /var/packages/EmbyServerNET/target/ffmpeg/bin/ sudo ./vainfo sudo ./ffdetect [command line] If you do need an updated FFdetect pushed out to assist with testing, just let me know. To confirm, 'libva2' is definitely available - e.g. see output here https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/66484-36074-beta-onward-vaapi-broken-on-braswell-based-systems/?p=661802 Best - James Edited December 15, 2018 by solabc16

postboy99 3
Hi @@softworkz since Version 3.6.0.78 even software transcoding doesn't work. When I start transcoding nothing happens and I see tons of ffmpeg_logs. They all end with this error: x264 [error]: high profile doesn't support lossless [libx264 @ 0xd40940] Error setting profile high. Luke 37098
Did you customize the crf in transcoding settings? try setting that back to default.
postboy99 3
Thx Luke. The CRF setting was empty and I didn't touch it. Set that to default (23) and it worked. I don't know why it was empty though.

Solution solabc16 379 Posted December 22, 2018 Author Solution Share Posted December 22, 2018 Hello All I've just published 3.6.0.80-1-beta, so if you're on the beta channel and have a 'braswell' based system, this update includes a possible fix for this. Once installed, please let us know how you get on and would appreciate if you can run the Send Logs utility.
