Scottieboi 8 Posted December 6, 2018 Share Posted December 6, 2018 I'm new to Emby after being with Plex for such a long time, and tbh I like it, it looks a little similar and for the most part, it's fairly simple to use.Ok so here is my issue, or one of them anyway.Installed on samsung tablet, and worked great, went to use it a few hours later and now all I get is a spinning wheel, no option to play or anything for that matter, just a spinning wheel. ok so im not so tech savvy, but even I can read and follow instructions, and I have followed all the solutions posted in the past, I cleared the cache/data and logged in again, nope that didn't work so uninstalled and reinstalled through google play, nothing, so tried again with ARM option on the download page, and still just a spinning wheel.In all fairness it works very well on all my other devices, Tv / Amazon fire TV and even works with no issue on my phone, I know the tablet is a little older than I would like but it meets all the requirements for this to work, given that it has done already, so what can I do to solve this? Scottieboi 8 Posted December 7, 2018 Author Share Posted December 7, 2018 Its the app, and no I can't get into the app for logs, it works just fine on the tablet through the browser, just the app that won't work. As I said I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and various other obvious solutions. with no joy, so im thinking it's a issue with the tablet causing the problem, gonna tinker with it a little and see if I can't get it working, but as long as I can gain access through the browser it isn't causing me too much distress.Thanks for the helpfeel free to close this topic Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In Emby app for Android, the detail screen for a video starts loading, but the spinning circle never stops, and the action buttons never load. I attached the server log during the test. The server is version 3.5.3.0, running under Linux. I tried both the regular Android app and the beta version. The playback device is a Samsung tablet SM-T561M, running Android 4.4.4. Some additional information. I can get a video menu by long touching its thumbnail (I noticed that there is no "mark played" option; is this normal?). However, when playing a video, the "back" on-screen arrow works, but none of the other control buttons work. Last but not least, pressing the three-line menu (either on the home screen or on the dashboard) dims the screen, but it goes no further than that. I hope this information can help locate the issue. That's exactly the issue l have, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I tried to install that apk but it won't open. Have you got an older version that l could try? Hi, Luke. I installed the apk file as an update of the previous (beta) app. The video detail screen now shows the action buttons, and the playback buttons are now working. However, the three-line button in home is still inoperative; it only dims the screen. The server log follows. I don't know if the app itself has a log. I hope this can be of help. I just started my Emby Premiere yesterday, because the setup was so easy till now. On my Samsung Galaxy S8+ I don't have any problems.
