horstepipe 356
hey don't know if it's only on my setup, but there's a very big difference in cpu consumption serverside when one user syncs with or without the option artwork cache enabled. Therefore the sync takes way longer, too. The problem is that for the users it sounds like an option to better have enabled, and the admin has no control over it. I personally see no benefit from having it enabled at all. What do you think? Best regards
Angelblue05 4130
The difference is that when you use Kodi, artwork will already be in place as if you’ve been using Kodi for a while. What do you propose? Just tell your users to select no on this, since your server doesn’t do well when a lot of artwork is requested? horstepipe 356
yeah I do. Unfortunately what you tell your users and what they do sometimes are very different things :-)
Angelblue05 4130
The artwork would still get cached, there's no way around it. If not by the add-on, then by Kodi itself as soon as they open the listing.

But the sync almost makes my vps (6 cores, 32gb ram) unusable, and this is only one user.
