701h 12
Hi, I installed the latest version of theatre last night. i just ran the installer from the Emby website, never uninstalled the old version. This morning I started it playing live TV, and after a while, went to use the mouse to stop it, but the mouse was gone! There was no cursor on the screen, and clicking or right clicking anywhere did nothing. I had to hit esc to get out of live TV. I think I saw another report of this the other day, but didnt spend much time looking for it (I'm at work). Just thought I'd send in a report. tonight I'll try uninstalling it, and then reinstalling. thx
Luke 37068
Hi, thanks, please let me know how that goes. Someone else reported it but i haven't been able to reproduce it.
701h 12
I haven't had chance to uninstall yet, but I've confirmed that as soon as all the gui disappears from the live TV screen or movie playing screen, it's not possible to get it back. I have to hit escape to get out of the playing screen, then the mouse starts working again. This is a Windows 10 machine that runs emby server as well. My laptop, which I've also updated theatre to the latest version, does not have this problem. Is there any debug, or any other info I can get for you?Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Edited November 22, 2018 by 701h

Luke 37068
Do you see the mouse problem with video files? Is the app full screen or windowed?

JohnnyM 40
I'm having the same issues with this update. The mouse is working but has no impact in the player only. I can navigate and select a movie to play and it starts but I have no control over the players function after that. For example I can drag the movie's progress ahead to fast forward it but when I release it the progress goes right back to where it was. If I get the focus back to the user interface the movie continues to play in the background even when I go back to the main interface. The only way to stop the movie is by exiting Theater I using Theater on a Window 7 box. Johnny M
JohnnyM 40
Further Update My Windows 10 Box updated Theater this morning and the mouse is working as it is suppose to. I will redownload Theater to the Windows 7 box later to see if the it improves. My Windows 7 box also uses a remote so will test to see if that might affect mouse interaction. I know it bothered the mouse function at one time in the past. Johnny M
JohnnyM 40
Further update. Tried different settings in theater but nothing changed. The program itself was loading the libraries extremely slow as compared to previous versions but they were loading. Had never tried my remote because I wasn't sure that I had tried that with the new update. It was reacting the same as the mouse. Control of the user interface but as soon as the video starts you have no control over the video. You can get back to the user interface and do just about anything but the video continues to play in the background. Decided to download theater from the web site. Not uninstalling the problem version. Ran the setup program and it didn't act right but decided to run theater again. Works perfectly normal now. rikiwi 32
I'm back from my trip. Whilst away I updated my daughters Win 10 computer with latest Theater version and there was mo problem with the mouse during video playback. I did exactly the same here at home and still no mouse control once the information bar has disappeared. I tested in windowed and full screen and with all video types:- Movies, Trailers, Recorded TV, Live TV, Home movies, TV Shows. The only way I can back out of videos plying is by the Esc. keyboard button. So fast forwarding etc. is impossible. Let me know if you need any logs. PS. Decided to download theater from the web site. Not uninstalling the problem version. Edited November 25, 2018 by rikiwi
