Zodler 18
On a system where it worked before, now suddenly EmbyCon does not connect to my server. I have tried everything possible. 1- Completely reinstalled LibreElec. Upgraded to 8.2.5 from 8.2.4 2- installed and upgraded to Emby Server Version 3.6.0.58 beta from the stable one 3.5. 3- Tried EmbyCon from the Kodi repository and also the newest beta one that is not on the kodi repository. 4- The Emby addon works. This is the addon that changes the local kodi library. Only EmbyCon doesn't connect. Here is the logs. Edited November 3, 2018 by Zodler
Zodler 18
Yes! Basically, there are 2 places, each has its own PC + Bitdefender and it's own Kodi Almogic player/client. Running the same portable Emby server in both places (not at the same time of course). One works, one doesn't!
Zodler 18
Thanks. Finally found it. Yes when I turn off all the features of Bitdefender, it starts to work. This is the new Bitdefender 2019 version. Before it worked. Then I went step by step to turn on the features to find the feature. It is "Online Threat Prevention". In notifications I found this " Privacy threat blockedAn attempt to send your password unencrypted was about to occur on 192.168.1.100:8096.We blocked the connection to stop your private data from being exposed and tampered with. " I added an exception for 192.168.1.100:8096 and now it works.

Zodler 18
Thank you. Yes it works with HTTPS without Bitdefender rule. After changing the port I had to reboot to make it work.
