Perplexed 25
I have encountered what I like to call "the Victor Borge Bug". This is the DVD set that I bought: "Victor Borge Classic Collection". It seems to exist in TMDB: https://www.themoviedb.org/search/tv?query=Victor%20Borge%20Classic%20Collection&language=en-US But I at one point it got removed from TheTVDB for whatever silly reason. Now... In Plex I can select TMDB and show the series correctly: However Emby shows this: Now no matter what I try, I can't get the fields to fill correctly from TMDB, even though I can select it from the list: And the links point to the correct series. Any idea how I can solve this? Thanks

Happy2Play 8318
No this is not a bug. It is a TVDB removal do to their policy on the series, as it is a collection not the original show which they do allow. And how are your downloaders setup? Since you probably won't disable tvdb I would just edit the metadata for the series and remove the TVDBid. May need to lock the series metadata after changes. Perplexed 25
Thanks guys, I was hoping I could manually pick TMDB for this particular series. If I may be permitted to compare Plex (I know, I know, mentioning the competition, sorry...) I have my agents, TVDB is #1 and TMDB #2. By default Plex will always pick TVDB, unless I manually select one series to go with TVDB, as I did with Victor Borge. In Emby I haven't messed with any of the library settings, except I ticked all available - is it possible for Emby to build in something similar, that it will pick the default order EXCEPT when you manually override this with a given series? That would really be the best of all worlds PLUS I can avoid having to jump through hoops to get the information stay put
Happy2Play 8318
Yes per series provider options would be nice, but wouldn't removing the tvdbid and locking the series metadata do the same thing?
Happy2Play 8318
Really surprised this is shown on TMDB as it is just a shell for the series with no season/episode information. So pretty much everything will be blank.
Perplexed 25
Yes per series provider options would be nice, but wouldn't removing the tvdbid and locking the series metadata do the same thing? Thanks once again... so how would you go about this? I tried removing the TVDB id but it won't update anything to the picture on TMDB or its description. It might be easier to unmatch this altogether and fill in the empty fields manually, perhaps?
Happy2Play 8318
Ya I was just trying this couldn't get it to work right. Even tried Identify but that wouldn't return result. It was weird I could select another show and attempt to identify it as this show and results were returned but on this show no results returned. For what little metadata you will get, I would just manually enter it.
Perplexed 25
Thanks once again... yeah... that's what I'll do. I went through the same experience as yourself - it just won't play nice!
Luke 37132
I think it would be much better for everyone if tvdb would just remove those bad entries rather than having them send back junk data.
Perplexed 25
So true! Ah well, at least I know how to sort it now!
