mataus 0
Hi all. I have a windows PC with an Intel i7 4790k processor running emby media centre. When transcoding locally or remotely will the Intel HD Graphics 4600 GPU be utilised or just the CPU? Also will all 4 cores (8 logical) be utilised? Guest asrequested
That GPU can be used, but it has a limited capacity. What are you throwing at it? Edited September 28, 2018 by Doofus

mataus 0
Won't Netflix HDR go via server?
Guest asrequested
Won't Netflix HDR go via server? No, and even if it were, Netflix would handle the bandwidth. Transcoding is for your media. Transcoding 4k is a beast. And at present, the HDR will be lost.
