jphi1618 0
EDIT: Not sure what was wrong with my searching before, but I've found several other topics about this and some wiki articles. This post can be deleted, but I'm not sure how to do that (if I can). I have Emby server installed on a Windows 7 HTPC that accesses media via a mapped drive. I want to "move" the server installation to a different computer that contains all the media locally (the same media that was mapped on the HTPC). What is the process for this? I have images and meta-data stored in the video folders, but I'm not sure how to retain my users and other settings on a totally fresh install on another computer. That and the media is all still the same, but the root path to the media will change (drive letters and path). (Not very active in forums, but LONG time user of Emby...) Xorp 47
Should add to your instructions the NEW server should be activated with Emby Premiere prior to attempting restore. I tried to do a restore on an unactivated new server, thinking the restore would transfer the activation but nothing happened with no messages. I had to dig through the logs to find System.Exception: System.Exception: Emby Backup trial has expired. Please purchase Emby Premiere at https://emby.media. at MBBackup.ServerEntryPoint.ExecuteRestore(BackupInfo settings, CancellationToken cancellationToken, IProgress`1 progress, Boolean isAuto)
