Richard@54 0 Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Hi My first time on this forum so hi to you all! I am replacing old hifi set up, but keeping the old one. Am ripping all music to flac. Have bought cheap Yamaha streamer for old set up and new Cambridge streamer for the new set up. I chose EMBY as the media server for my PC where the music is. Have not got new amp yet but already have both streamers, so doing some testing. I connected the Cambridge audio streamer to the network with ethernet cable. It picked up EMBY just fine. I then added the Yamaha to same amp on different input connecting via wifi. Yamaha picked up EMBY OK. But at the same time the Cambridge Audio streamer stopped "seeing" EMBY, but continued to play radio so LAN link is OK. So i reversed the process. I un-linked Yamaha from amp - no difference. I turned off the Yamaha and still no joy. I restarted EMBY with Yamaha off and EMBY was picked up by Cambridge streamer. I thought EMBY could handle concurrent streamers? I have also tried different combinations of turning Yamaha and Cambridge on and off in different combinations, but embarrisingly i cannot reproduce the scenario. It all seems to be working fine....... However i have found a different problem which is definitely an EMBY issue... Sorry,, We have 2 music libraries, one for my music, which is mainly FLAC, and one for my partner who uses iTunes. Her music and mine are in different folders. Mine happen also to be Dropbox folders which are still folders on the PC. I have found duplicates in my library. If an album is only in my library or my partner's there is no duplication. If she has an MP3 version of the same album / single in iTunes that i have in my FLAC folders both are listed in "my library".. Any thoughts.
