jhyler 2
My media library is quite large, the automatic sync that occurs when Kodi starts up takes 8 and a half minutes if nothing has changed. I'd like to turn it off since during that time playing movies fails, the Kodi log shows many messages "waiting for empty download spot" and finally gives up. Any way to turn it off? Thanks. Angelblue05 4130
Do you have the Kodi companion plugin installed on your server? Do you receive updates for content you have not interacted with? No it's not possible to disable this at this time. But it shouldn't take long to do the start up sync. It should only update what you've seen or newly added content or remove content. If you have huge syncs, something is probably not right in your setup.
jhyler 2
Thanks! Installing the companion got me around the delay.
Angelblue05 4130
Good. Yes if you don't have the server plugin, it will do a manual sync (compare kodi content to emby content) which is why it takes a really long time. Glad it is working.
