Hi guys. Is there away i can tunr my old HP pro liant server into additional storage? I have (4) 2 tb hard drives would like to just added it as additional storage with the ability to read each drive. The old OS was windows home server. Its only going to be used for media storage and nothing else. The power usage for this thing is minimal I think so im figuring should not cost much leaving it on at all times. ( was hoping just to connect it via esata and not run it as a network because emby is on my new server I built and I think the access time would be longer. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dom

You're describing a NAS.  Yes, it's entirely possible, no, connecting to it via a network share will not be slow.  It's as simple as explicitly sharing the drives on your network, and then mounting the shares on your Emby server.
