manolodf 11
Not sure if this is normal behavior, or if it is related to an old issue that duplicated the guide on every refresh but the cache/xmltv folder has about 136 files in it, approximately 4 per day all between 4-4:30AM every day for the past month, June 12th being the oldest and July 12 being the most recent. They are all between 42-50mb each and add up to about 6GB of usage, but I dont undesrtand why it is being duplicated like that, or if that is perhaps a bug? The oldest one: f8c6941700079752a145f60cbf3681a8-163-9-0.xml The most recent one: f8c6941700079752a145f60cbf3681a8-193-9-3.xml
Luke 37113
The cache folder is used for temporary storage and the server will automatically delete files that are older than 30 days old. So over time it will clean up after itself.
manolodf 11
Hi Luke, Would it help folder size at all if I go back to using the .xml.gz extension on the EPG? Last time that caused an issue because that file was decompressed and replicated per channel so it was like 140gb or so, but I think that fix was already done right? Would it then compress that folder size down to under 1gb if I go that route?
Luke 37113
I'm not sure, you can try it. We can also look at cleaning out certain parts of the cache folder more often.
manolodf 11
Any progress on being able to set this to be cleaned more often? I have this folder at over 10gb since there are 189 files in the past 30 days all between 15-90mb
Luke 37113
We're looking into improving this for a future release, thanks.
