grizlyadams 15
ho do i get back to the horizontal homescreen that was pre 1.1.210 (and why did you change it!?)
grizlyadams 15
i installed the desktop version and changed the homescreen back to horizontal in there (that option seems to be missing in the app version)..... and now the app version is back to horizontal. Do they use the same settings? what are the differences int he desktop and app versions on win 10? I see the desktop uses about 3 times the memory and the audio is different, less "muffled" and clearer. it also shows up in task manager as "Electron" and installs a few other bits of software (port drivers and hdmi sound apps? which is the better to use/
Guest asrequested
The desktop app has it's own player, and play just about anything. The store app uses the windows player, and doesn't support as much.
Luke 37097
The store app should have the setting as well.

FrostByte 5052
For the UWP app look in the Display settings. There should be an option to change between vertical and horizontal mode
Luke 37097
Its not on Xbox. It will be in the next app update.
Guest asrequested
If you're using Windows 10, my recommendation would be to use the desktop app.
grizlyadams 15
If you're using Windows 10, my recommendation would be to use the desktop app. thanks - that's what I'm doing now. The UWP is a little nicer in tablet mode, but the desktop version seems to be more reliable/less prone to wierd playback issues.
