Blurpie 0
Hey all - I'm trying out Emby before jumping off the Plex bandwagon and I'm really excited about being able to organize my retro games in the same software as my other content. I feel like I've got this set up almost correctly based on other forum posts, but I'm just not getting what I need for some reason. So for my setup, I have a Games library that's quite creatively named Games. It's contents are organized like so: F:\Emulation\%SystemName%\%GameName%\%GameFile.ext% So at this juncture, if I log into Emby Server, check my Library settings I see this: I've only set up two consoles so far within the GameBrowser settings, the Sony Playstation and the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. You can see their setup is complete in the next image. I've rescanned the library following setup. As you can tell from the next image, some games have already been identified. So, with games identified, a month of Emby Premiere purchased and configured I restart the server, install Emby Theatre and give that a whirl. I start to configure the External Player for the Playstation but run into a snag - there's not a Sony Playstation option that can be selected. I can edit all of the other options, but I can't actually select a Game system - which means I can't launch games through Emby - this is shown in the next three images. Now, it really seems like I've got this configured properly - I just can't select the Game system. Has anyone else got any ideas/advice? The threads I looked through earlier were often unresolved or "it just started working all of a sudden" - I'm hoping to nail down a proper fix that can serve as a reference for others who may run into this. Thanks for reading!

Blurpie 0
Try changing your paths to network path I could try that. I don’t anticipate this solving anything as the storage is native to the machine - but it’s certainly worth trying. If this resolves my issue I’ll let you know. cash84 4
I could try that. I don’t anticipate this solving anything as the storage is native to the machine - but it’s certainly worth trying. If this resolves my issue I’ll let you know. I found out this myself last week when windows 10 did an update and screwed up my network. I decided to try local and it would show up just like you’re showing. Then I rolled back the update and back to my old configuration and then it works again. frankmomma 2
I am having the exact same problem except my paths are all UNC and still don't work. Also my emulators were all previously working until I went in to view what my settings were. I went to look at external player settings so that I could duplicate it on my laptop. When I go to view the "working" external plugin, it doesn't show any game system as an option. Once I exit the external player menu and go back to games library, the Game no longer has a Play Button (has had play button for nearly a year). I check all XML info and the games match the system info. any help would be amazing.
frankmomma 2
For you @@Blurpie I am not sure if you have checked your XML files yet to make sure that the "<GameSystem></GameSystem>" Match. When I first set up my Gamebrowser this was an issue. By Default I think there is no space on 1 of the 2(either System XML or Games XML, so they dont; match up). This is not the problem I am having, but since this is your first time setting up, it may be your problem .

H1NDENBURG 0
So I've run into a new problem with Game Browser. When I go to set up an external player, the GAME SYSTEMS field is blank, there are no options to choose from. I also noticed that my Games Library, which shows up in every other version of Emby (Android, Fire TV, etc) does not show up in the Windows 10 version of Emby Theater. I think these two items may be related. Any ideas?
Luke 37133
@@H1NDENBURG, I have merged your topic into here as they are discussing the same issue. This is on our list for review. Games are not really the core focus of Emby. We like games, but we're unfortunately only able to work on them as free time allows. We will get to this. Thanks. Luke 37133
This is resolved for the next release of Emby Server, and the corresponding GameBrowser update. Thanks.
