PVR:: searching missed episodes over DvbViewer, create a Timer Ehen a Resultat ist found

Hello Com anderen ba Team,

 

I habe a Feature requests. Maybe Theresa ist an API or another Interface in DvbViewer for doing this.

 

Emby searched over the DvbViewer epg for missed episodes. When He found something He create a Timer in DvbViewer.

 

So DvbViewer knows when the cards are in use ans then i have no problems when someone trys to watch live TV.

 

I know this fuction ist included in by itself. But DvbViewer dont know when emby use DvbViewer for recording. So i think there Problems when i watch Live TV and Emby trys to record some episodes.

 

So maybe i Wish a way that Emby searched over DvbViewer anderen create a Timer in DvbViewer. Than there was No Problem.

 

I Hope you Guys understand What i mean.

I don't know i dont think so.

 

I can add an Auto Timer, there i can say The Walking Dead (S8) so he record all episodes from Season 8. But sometimes for some series i have some episodes missing. So i have to look through all my series in find missing. Then i have to add for each missing Episode a timer. Thats very big work. 

 

I know that emby can do that by itself, for example with hdhomerun oder with the stream from dvbviewer. But them emby dont know if the card is free, and dvbv dont know if emby is recording. So i hoped there is a way you can integrate dvbv better or communicate better with it, that he know what emby is doing or reserve emby the card for the recording.

 

So the best thing i think is, that emby search for the missing episodes in the epg, and when he found one he send a timer to DVBViewer.

Ok, we already support this with our native build in recording features, but not when using a plugin. If you have an HD Homerun why do you need DvbViewer? You can use HD Homerun directly in Emby without a plugin.

Will this Work when i use m3u list ? AS source from DvbViewer ? Or did this only work with HD homerun

Yes, if you set up a Series recording with the option to not record episodes you already have, then that will record any ones you don't whenever they air.

 

This, of course, assumes you have guide data that allows us to identify them properly.

 

Again, though, that is with our recording functionality.  If you use a plug-in then that other program is in charge of the recording so it is out of our control.

To be precise, because i don't think @@Kodi_Newcomer does understand it correctly:

Emby does not automatically create timers for missing episodes, it creates timers for all episodes of a tv show and skips those timers with an associated existing library item. Or in other words, you still have to MANUALLY find at least on occurence of the desired tv show in the epg and create MANUALLY the responsible series schedule that tries to record all episodes except those from your library.

Ok now I understand the original request. Yea it's an interesting idea. Definitely possible for the future.

Perfect now you know what i mean. Pünktchen has clarify it a bit more. This a feature what i think it is be great. Good to here your answer. So i can hope this feature comes in in the future. I think this was a big awesome feature. Emby knows what episodes are missing, so he searched for it, and when he found some he create the timer and do the record.

 

All automatic.

 

So you can make the feature bigger. Create a new Folder with a Series, they comes in some weeks and you where interest in, so you must know longer search for an episode, when he is come or think to search periodic for it,  emby did all the job.

I think yes. That would be great, but only if you expose those "triggers" to the live tv api, so external tv plugins can also make use of it.
