xbmcgotham 32 Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Hi, I hope Emby developers can find the time to integrate CinemaVision into Emby so we can use this great Cinema experience tool in emby Theater. I know Ragnarok has been excited to assist in integrating it into emby. The only reason I am still using KODI is for this add-on as it makes my cinema room like a real theater. It might not be a to hard of an integration as both emby and cinemavision were both originally build on xbmc if not mistaken. CinemaVision is in a different league all together. I have it setup so it will switch on and off lights, dim lights, close blinds switch on projector and the popcorn machine etc, and have different videos bumpers depending on year etc setup. These things are, as I could read up, not possible with emby cinema mode. I have spoken with Ragnarok who informed me that he is happy to integrate a CinamaVision Add-on similar to KODI into Emby. He and luke have spoken about it positively in the past. My suggestion would be to phase out the cinema mode and allow for the cinemavision add-on to be integrated into emby. It is strictly a Kodi addon that allows a lot of flexibility in playback to achieve the movie theater experience. You can add things like trivia slides, audio format bumbers, theater intros, coming attractions, etc. I use Emby for Kodi and am able to use Cinema Vision on Kodi perfectly. It would be a very major development effort to put this in Emby. CinemaVision uses a paid developer to update and maintain the addon for Kodi. But it is not yet close to all the functionality that cinemavision has to offer. :-( Think about the popcorn machine? One is a Halloween theme and the other is a general theme. When I start a movie with CinemaVision, I can choose which flow to use. When I select the movie, the following happens automatically, and all timers and things are configurable in the configuration for the flow: A trivia intro bumper plays Trivia slides are displayed randomized with a mixture of Q&A and general information slides and background music for 20 minutes A coming attractions bumber plays 3 trailers from Apple Trailers play A silence your phone bumper plays A theater intro bumper plays A feature presentation bumper plays An audio format bumper plays (automatically matched based on the audio format of the movie) The movie plays A thank you for watching outro bumper plays It is very powerful. Just need some examples of the requests for devices and on/off/dim commands. That might be worth another thread though PM me if you want. Hi, I am using homewizard and KaKU products together with somfy blind system. I have this now for years as it was easy to use and setup. I might change to contol4 in the future as it has a lot of 3rd party integration. Only draw back no good media integration from Control4. Intro videos are harder to make or find.. especially custom ones... for some there would need to be three different types.. maybe even simple image support for splash screen proceeding through the beginning presentation before 'Our Feature Presentation'... Personal point though HULU murdered trivia back in the day... Never have a need for it again.. Some may also want support for 'Double Feature' experience as well using a playlist..
