dr0ther 0
Hi! I am using the latest docker image (emby/embyserver) and neither the guide (yes the xml file is populated) nor liveTV work. Logs are attached. This is the only thing I can find in the logs: System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing. Thanks in advance! server-63653644800.txt
Luke 37096
Hi @@dr0ther, have you validated your xml file to ensure that it is valid xml? It looks like it might not be. 2018-02-08 21:56:59.291 Info App: xmltv path: /xmltv/guide.xml 2018-02-08 21:56:59.293 Error App: Error getting programs for channel KTEN-CW *** Error Report *** Version: 3.2.70.0 Command line: /system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /config -ffmpeg /bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 Operating system: Unix 4.9.0.4 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True User Interactive: True Processor count: 4 Program data path: /config Application directory: /system System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing. dr0ther 0
What about it never loading livetv? I'll remove and re-add the xml tv data and repost logs.
Luke 37096
What do you mean exactly by "loading livetv"? Are you referring to attempting to play a live channel? I don't see any piayback attempts in the log you provided. Can you try to play a channel and then attach the log? (Assuming that is your problem). Thanks. dr0ther 0
Will do. Zap2xml is a pain ever since they changed how it works back on January 18th (no dockers have the updated perl script). dr0ther 0
Thanks for the response! It is strange as I have the same docker (but a slightly different hd home run model) with zero issues.
dr0ther 0
Also if it helps, it works on windows, but not on a linux docker
dr0ther 0
Here is an updated log. Turned on debug this time! Could an iffy internet connection be causing his problems? found this in the logs: "MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: Connection to https://www.mb3admin.com/admin/service/EmbyPackages.json timed out ---> System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCanceledException: A task was canceled." and "System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: An error occurred while sending the request. ---> System.Net.Http.CurlException: Couldn't connect to server" server-63654681600.txt Edited February 20, 2018 by dr0ther

dr0ther 0
Ok so here is an interesting twist. The HDHomerun works perfectly when emby is installed directly on the OS, but not on the official docker.
Luke 37096
Is this still an issue?
dr0ther 0
Im not sure. Ill see if I can test it in the next couple of days. Currently it is no issues with it installed on the base OS (linux).
