nominion 7
I'm having an issue when tuning to certain Live TV channels on my NVIDIA Shield. I get audio, but no video. During playback, I tried to use the option to correct playback issues, but that didn't solve the problem. I've also tried to disable hardware acceleration for transcoding, but that didn't seem to help either. I've attached the log from the server. I also uploaded the logs from the Shield. For reference: Server Version: 3.2.60.0 Shield Client Version: 1.5.32g OS: Windows 10 Tuned to Channel: 152 - MSNBC HD Anyone seen anything like this before? Thanks in advance for the help! server-log.txt Edited January 12, 2018 by nominion

ebr 14913
From the app's perspective, there simply is no video stream. If you use the playback correction option, does it work?
nominion 7
Nope. Playback correction doesn't do anything. I get this behavior on a handful of channels, but most are ok.
nominion 7
What is even more strange is that if you record the channel with no video during Live TV viewing, the recording works just fine. Video and audio are perfect on the recording, even though Live TV shows no video.
ebr 14913
Was this an IPTV channel? I had this happen yesterday on one of those and it now works fine (and did the day before) so I'm coming to the conclusion in my situation it was related to the source. Luke 37066
In his server log it appears to be hdhomerun, no ffmpeg involved. @@nominion can you please try updating to the latest release of emby server? thanks !
nominion 7
I can certainly do that. The latest is v3.2.70.12 (beta), correct?
Luke 37066
Well if you typically run stable it would be 3.2.70.

nominion 7
Attached is the latest server log after enabling debug options and restarting the server. There was no ffmpeg log generated from what I could see in the logs directory. Also, I enabled debug options on the Sheild Emby client. Tuned to channel 153. No video, but there was audio. Stop watching. Set the program to record and the recording is fine. Debug log uploaded at 5:15 PM eastern time from the Shield client. Logged in user was "nvs". server-63654570671.txt

nominion 7
The logs from the Emby app should have been uploaded around 5:15 PM eastern time. Please let me know if they didn’t come through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Luke 37066
And the remaining info? These apps have the option to send an app log to us electronically. You enter the settings page and turn on the "Debug Options". Now there will be a new tile on your home page settings row labelled "Send Log". Reproduce your problem and then use this button to send the log. Then add the following information to your report in the forum: Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem The time you sent the log The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time

ebr 14913
If you use the "Playback Correction" feature, a couple of times (try it until it starts transcoding) do you get video?
Luke 37066
Perhaps an audio only TV channel, like a radio channel?
nominion 7
Playback correction doesn't seem to do anything in this case It's not any audio only stream. It's live TV such as CNBC. I can record the channel and it works. Audio and video are perfect. Matter of fact, when I uploaded the debug logs from the Emby app, which @@ebr has seen, I was recording the stream and trying to watch at the same time. Recording the stream works, viewing it live does not.
ebr 14913
Playback correction doesn't seem to do anything in this case How many times did you try it? Try it about 3 times in a row... It's not any audio only stream. It's live TV such as CNBC. Interestingly, when I saw this issue a couple weeks ago, it was also on CNBC... It just started working again the next day though so I tacked it up to a problem at the source.
nominion 7
I will try hitting the playback correction button tonight. One interesting thing is that I tried to view CNBC using Live Channels and I got the same result, audio, but no video. When watching it directly on my server using the HDHomeRun software, it works fine. That seems to indicate it's something specific to AndroidTV perhaps.
