jntaylor1701 6
Is it possible to set either Roku or the Emby server to default to the Dolby Audio track in a MP4 video file? I rip my DVD and BluRay in Handbrake with the IPAD 3 profile; this creates an AAC and Dolby audio tracks. (The Apple speck calls for the AAC to be first) If not, could this be a possible request in future updates? Many Thanks.

jntaylor1701 6
Try marking them as the default track. Can this be done in the Emby Server? I dont want to re-rip or remux 100"s of movies.
ebr 14912
No, but you don't have to re-rip them. You should be able to edit the track properties only. I would try with one to see if it does what you want.

Waldonnis 148
MKVToolNix I think will do the job. MKVToolNix won't work for mp4/m4v unless you plan on remux to Matroska first (at least the header editor won't, and it only outputs Matroska anyway). mp4box should be able to do this. I haven't had to do this personally outside of remuxing, but the -set-track-id and -swap-track-id options look like they would be appropriate. Oops - sorry, I wasn't paying enough attention to the container . Thanks Waldonnis.
jntaylor1701 6
Well, for now I will just rip as MKV with AC3. If this gets added as an update, I can run the MKV video with MKVtoMP4. It will tag the video and I can add an AAC 2.0 track by encoding the AC3. I really like tagging my videos with info and artwork.
