Mopar_Mudder 14
This has been an on going tihing for a long time I just don't have time to deal with it really. Last night I go to play a BluRay which is a folder rip not MKV. It took 3 minutes of the spining circle before it finally started playing. Then it played fine for about 2 hours and then their was all kinds of skipping and lag, if you paused for a few minutes then it would play ok for a couple of minutes then start laging agian. Then all the sudden it jump back to the movie detail screen and crashed. I played the movie on TMT after that and had no problems. I attached some log files, movie that was being played is Transformers 2 Server Log.txt Unhandled.txt
Luke 37118
It appears the app is direct playing the folder which is good. Unrelated, but in the server log it appears your network started having problems, and that's probably connected to your playback experience. 2017-10-28 22:15:00.737 Error ProviderManager: Error in metadata saver *** Error Report *** Version: 3.2.34.0 Command line: C:\Users\Brent\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 64-Bit OS: False 64-Bit Process: False User Interactive: True Processor count: 4 Program data path: C:\Users\Brent\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server Application directory: C:\Users\Brent\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System System.IO.IOException: The specified network name is no longer available. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.WriteCore(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count) at System.IO.FileStream.Write(Byte[] array, Int32 offset, Int32 count) at System.IO.Stream.InternalCopyTo(Stream destination, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.Stream.CopyTo(Stream destination) at MediaBrowser.XbmcMetadata.Savers.BaseNfoSaver.SaveToFile(Stream stream, String path) at MediaBrowser.XbmcMetadata.Savers.BaseNfoSaver.Save(IHasMetadata item, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.Manager.ProviderManager.SaveMetadata(IHasMetadata item, ItemUpdateType updateType, IEnumerable`1 savers) System.IO.IOException at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.WriteCore(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count) at System.IO.FileStream.Write(Byte[] array, Int32 offset, Int32 count) at System.IO.Stream.InternalCopyTo(Stream destination, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.Stream.CopyTo(Stream destination) at MediaBrowser.XbmcMetadata.Savers.BaseNfoSaver.SaveToFile(Stream stream, String path) at MediaBrowser.XbmcMetadata.Savers.BaseNfoSaver.Save(IHasMetadata item, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.Manager.ProviderManager.SaveMetadata(IHasMetadata item, ItemUpdateType updateType, IEnumerable`1 savers) 2017-10-28 22:15:00.738 Debug ProviderManager: Saving \\server\Movies\Guardians of the Galaxy 2\MARVEL'S_GUARDIANS_OF_THE_GALAXY_VOL_2.mkv to Nfo. Luke 37118
Or more specifically: System.IO.IOException: The specified network name is no longer available.
Mopar_Mudder 14
Any explanation as to why it takes 3 minutes for the movie to start playing? I ripped that Guardians of the Galaxy earlier in the day, so I am guessing it finally got around to fetching the meta data for it that night and that is what the error is referring too? Even though it said it was no longer available all the meta data saved for it.
Luke 37118
If you're having networking problems then that sounds like the only explanation to me. Thanks.
Mopar_Mudder 14
I don't buy the net work problem. This has been going on with Emby for a long time. But TMT will always start the movie instantly with no problems. If it is a network issue Emby is the only program having the issue.
Luke 37118
Hi, we are using windows api's to access your folders. All I am doing here is relaying to you the messages that those api's are sending back to us.
