JunkStar 11
Setup: Windows Server 2016 HDHomerun HDHR3-4DC FW 20170930 Emby Server Stable 3.2.33.0 XMLTV from Honeybee.it All of a sudden my tvguide was blank and its been working perfectly for months. Checked the server dashboard and all the channels are missing when i go to map them manually. Channels are working (watching F1 on Emby Theater right now) but the guide is blank. Didnt change anything and it happend out of nowhere. Tried restarting my server. Reinstalling Emby on top of current installation. Removed tuner. Removed tvguide and re-added it. Checked that my account on honeybee is still active. Checked that the url for the xml tv is still valid.... Now im lost for ideas. Luke 37067
Your xml gz url is throwing some kind of invalid zip header error. Anyway i was able to test with your url and make a few changes and get it to work, so it's resolved for the next release.
JunkStar 11
Thanks Luke! Any idea when the next relrease will be out?
Luke 37067
No but you can grab the beta channel tomorrow if you need it.
Luke 37067
@@Happy2Play, this could be interesting if he installs the beta tomorrow that is .net core based, and then later goes back to stable that is still .net framework-based. Guess i better get the stub executable ready for mediabrowser.serverapplication.exe.

Guess i better get the stub executable ready for mediabrowser.serverapplication.exe. I have done Beta net framework to beta net core and back to net framework without issues besides the known, short-cuts and service, and possibly plugins. I don't have LiveTV so I can't speak for any anomalies there.
revengineer 125
I have been playing with IPTV on both stable v3.2.33.0 and beta v3.2.33.3/4. For the same service, XMLTV link shows complete in the stable version of emby but there are gaps in the guide of the beta version. I tried to remove and re-add the guide but that did not change anything. Does removing the guide in the GUI remove all traces? EDIT: After trying to get this to work for two days, I finally succeeded loading the guide for the those channels where it was missing. No clue what went wrong, it just worked when hitting the refresh guide button just one more time. EDIT 2: It may have been a browser cache issue. JunkStar 11
I didnt test the beta but i found a workaround. I wanted to test if it worked if i downloaded the gzip and unzipped the xml locally. Then i saw this comment on the honeybee.it page You can also use .xml instead of .xml.gz at end in case your client doesn't allow gzip.Contact at me@jnylen.nu if you have any questions or problems. I will be putting up a forum later on. Using the xml link ending instead of gz works. Now i feel rather stupid that i didnt see that the first time around
mce-emby 2
I'm currently having the same issue with freepg.tv as the XML provider The guide is blank (Channels can be played)

mce-emby 2
What kinda xml file do you have? Is it zipped like mine was? @@JunkStar I believe so, the URL seems to indicate that (??) http://au.freepg.tv/xmltv/oztivo/NSW.Sydney.gz?UID= I don't seem to be able to pull a standard XML though
JunkStar 11
Can you download it and unzip it and point Emby at the XML file? If that works you are probably experiencing the same issues as me
blue65 2
I experienced the same issue. HDHomerun Connect HDHR4-2DT, Windows 10 and downloading TV Guide from http://au.freepg.tv/xmltv/oztivo/VIC.Melbourne.gz?UID=........... Has worked for a long time and then I noticed the Guide was blank a couple of weeks ago. I could still watch the TV channels but couldn't load a TV Guide. Thought it was the HDHomeRun and maybe a Firmware issue. Took me a while but finally able to get the latest firmware loaded (thanks to SiliconDust support). Removed Tuner Device and re-added. Removed TV Guide and re-added. Still no luck loading guide though. Saw this thread and I just tried downloading the Guide to my Desktop and saving the Guide as an xml file and pointed the Emby Guide to this file and it worked The au.freepg.tv site says the Guide will only be supplied in Gzip format. Am I correct in saying that the next release of Emby Server will have the ability to unzip the Guide on the fly again or do I have setup a download of the Guide, unzip it myself and point the Guide to the unzipped file ? Thanks
blue65 2
Upgraded to the latest Emby Server release this morning (V 3.2.34.0). Removed the TV Guide and HDHomeRun Device and re-added both. I was able to re-map the Channels and the TV Guide (with the .gz extension) was able to be populated directly into my Guide from the URL. Happy Days Thanks Everyone
