bla8291 1
I was briefly able to seek through live TV while watching on my Chromecast last month, but that seems to have gone away. I also noticed that when I was able to do this, the server would convert the audio from AC3 to AAC. After the seeking went away, it would remain as AC3. I'm don't know if the two situations are related. I'm able to seek on the Shield through the Android TV app but audio comes in as AC3. Is there anything I need to do to be able to seek on the Chromecast? I've attached the most recent server and transcode logs. server-63642136622.txt ffmpeg-transcode-f4295b47-eb2a-40d0-86b6-ee551a6e72ea.txt

bla8291 1
It's working now, thanks. My only question now is why does it only work when it transcodes AC3 to AAC on the Chromecast? I ask because on some channels with AAC, the center channel doesn't come through on my soundbar or it comes in really low (even though I don't have this problem on my receiver). It might be a problem on my end, but I'm curious if seeking can work without transcoding the audio, like it does on the Shield ATV app.
Luke 37253
because the transcoding technique required to accommodate that seeking does not support ac3.
