xilex 9
I notice that the F hotkey does not toggle fullscreen unless you are actively playing a video (2.8.5). If you launch the app as new from the desktop, F does nothing. Luke, do you prefer issues posted here in the forums or on Github?
Solution Luke 37097 Posted September 25, 2017 Solution Share Posted September 25, 2017 I think this is fine, I don't really intend to have the f key apply everywhere because the letter key could be needed in other contexts. And applying it everywhere means we then have to go and deal with all those conflicts of interest. When you're outside of playback you can always double click anywhere toggle fullscreen, as well as use other visual fullscreen controls.
Luke 37097
Notice in the wiki it is only listed under video playback: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Keyboard%20and%20Remote%20Support Thanks.
xilex 9
I see, fair reasoning. I was trying to do some macros to automate launching Emby as fullscreen via keystrokes. Is there a difference between running Emby Theater versus app.emby.media? They both look to have the same layout.
Luke 37097
The native apps have native features that can't be done in a web browser. Like for instance, using the mpv video player that can direct play everything, as well as direct file system access, having menu options to restart/shutdown the machine, etc. And the native apps are capable of catching more remote control input than the browser versions.
