arecad98 5
In the Android TV and Apple TV apps, during the last 45 or so seconds there is a popup banner at the bottom of the screen showing a thumbnail of the upcoming episode with its description. I was wondering if this is something we will ever get on the Roku app? I really like being able to see what's next and have the option to with start now or stop. As long as it can be completely turned off, as it can be in the Android apps, it would be a good addition. Personally I NEVER want my media software to anticipate my desires or make any suggestions at all or interrupt any program with anything. Even the last 30 seconds of a show is,or at least should be for me, off limits to any manipulation. One more thing: As this kind of thing is intrusive it should, when it is added, default to off. Everybody consumes their media differently but I just cannot understand wanting software to intrude in any manner in the consumption process. I absolutely agree that this should be an option - as it is now with the ability to say no to auto play next episode. Some people like it and others do not. This is why options in the app are great. dcook 265
As long as it is disabled by default. Everything that I record stops recording once the credits start, so to have a pop up during the last 45 seconds would totally interrupt the viewing experience. However Emby Dev's have a history of forcing their personal preferences on everyone. And then usually what happens is people start complaining and in a future release we get the option to disable. ebr 14925
Yes and, just like in the other apps, it will be optional.
