Scott D 62
It would be very helpful to have a toggle for the logging of IP addresses. When posting log files to the forums, it can become quite an involved process of filtering out all of the IP addresses that are logged. Internal IP (192.168.??.??) are not a problem, but the logging of external addresses could become a problem if they get into the wrong hands. Perhaps changing remote IP addresses to something like http://username:devicename when the toggle is turned off.
Scott D 62
Revisiting this once again as I am posting log files to the forums. A Checkbox in the "Logs" section of the server would be great. Thoughts on the function would be: 1. Check box is marked2. Current log file is closed and a new log file created.3. All personal info (ip addresses, host names, etc.) are not logged or masked in some way.4. Run tests as needed.5. Uncheck box when testing is complete. Log file is closed (with "FOR POSTING" in the name) and a new one is started.
