Doesn't scan shared folder from another Qnap

My Emby is installed on a TS-451+ where most of my movie files are located. The rest of the movie files are located on a TS-220 on the same network. Perhaps the TS-220 is too old or what I'm unable to install Qmono on it, thus unable to install Emby. As such, I've made the movie folder on it a shared drive for the Emby on the TS-451+ to access. Adding the shared drive in Emby has no issues. But Emby doesn't scan the shared folder even I start the scan manually. Any suggestions what might have gone wrong? And where can I obtain the log file to post up here if that helps?

Alternative, can Qmono be installed on TS-220? I've tried all 4 builts available but all failed.

Would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!

Hi Luke,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Here attached is the last log in txt format.

The path of the shared folder that isn't scanned by Emby is: smb://aaronsnas2/Movies_HD and the IP address of aaronsnas2 is 192.168.0.103. Forgot to mention that the shared folder to view only for guest access.

Thanks for looking into this problem!

This is what is happening:

SharpCifs.Smb.SmbAuthException: Access is denied.

Emby Server is now allowed access to the shared folder. Keep in mind, we yet don't offer a place to enter SMB credentials, therefore the path needs to be accessible without requiring authentication.

Hi Luke,

Thought read-only right is enough. Looks like it needs read-write. Now I know what to do. Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

Aaron

Changed to read-write for guest and everyone but still the same. I'll spend some time play around with the permissions and keep you updated.

Thanks!
