Synology-Emby-Windows Media Share

Hi,

 

i try since a view weeks to add a Media Share from Windows 10 to Emby Server, Emby Server is running on an Synology NAS.

 

when i try to search for Network Shares it find nothing, so i try to add it manuel.

 

but i get this messages in the log.

 

System.ArgumentException: The specified path does not exist: \\192.168.178.38\f\TV.

i try a lot but nothing is working.

 

i can access the share from all other Coumputers and also from the android fire tv box.

also i can add the shares to the filebrowser/filestation on the NAS.

 

why not from the emby server?

Hi, the mono runtime does not support Windows Shares. What you need to do is mount it as a local path within your Synology NAS, then add the local path to Emby. Let us know if this helps. Thanks !
