Poor Layout on Roku 3 and NowTV

Guys, can you advise why some of our users have a very poor layout on their box, when others don't?

 

I have the Roku 3 and it is poor on mine, with the guide being unusable.

That looks like an old app. They may have beta loaded and that one looks very good.

It's the channel listed on Roku. I installed the beta and it looks the same

Can you please explain more about what is a "poor layout"?  Was your picture an example of the good or bad one...?

Well that isn't the "Preview" channel that is being offered via the private channel listed on the forum.

Seems a little late for an app that has been out for almost three years to be getting comment like this now.  Unless the user is confused thinking the is the New app.

The user is definitely confused. The 'typical' user will search Emby in the channel store and end up with the version that we are discussing. So if it is a tad late to be discussing it, I apologise but would it not make sense to update your channel on the store front, so that an Emby search finds the current version?

 

I have tried the preview and although the movie library is a lot better, the channel guide for live tv is still poor. A user expects a channel guide to look like a guide with multiple rows and columns but instead we have two channels per page, listed, and only channels that actually have EPG data behind them. If we look at any of your competitors, they have managed to use the Roku interface to atleast show the multiple rows per page and display all channels, regardless of EPG status.

 

This is constructive feedback, rather than having a pop.

 

Also, and this is off topic, we have had to register multiple users in order to have our service run properly, pinning customers to those users. However, during that process two user accounts were rendered useless after registration - locking the browser to an error - only solvable by deleting cookies. One account is registered but stuck in a loop of verification, sending a password reminder email, rather than a verification email. I emailed admin from one of the accounts but had no response, therefore wondered if someone could contact me via PM to discuss and resolve, please?

The new version is still in the beta stage so what can be updated on the store front?  Only information and access to the private channel can be found in this forum currently.

That is extremely interesting because the Beta Preview has no access to Live TV channels at all...  What app were you running?

So why is one of our accounts stuck with a verification link on login? When we try to add the user to our server, it is is not registered or under verification. It's just a loop that we cannot get out of.

Are you referring to adding them as a Guest account via the server?  They can login to this forum properly correct?
