jluce50 118
I've upgraded the Emby addon numerous times in the last couple weeks and the issue is still occurring. I'm running Kodi 16.1 on my FireTV 4k. Certain files play fine and others don't, though it doesn't seem to be consistent. The error message I'm seeing in the logs is consistent, however: 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: Opening: smb://192.168.0.5/TV Shows/The Big Bang Theory/6x02 - The Decoupling Fluctuation.mkv 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 WARNING: CDVDMessageQueue(player)::Put MSGQ_NOT_INITIALIZED 11:39:36 T:18446744072362329520 NOTICE: Creating InputStream 11:39:36 T:18446744072362329520 ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [smb://192.168.0.5/TV Shows/The Big Bang Theory/6x02 - The Decoupling Fluctuation.mkv] 11:39:36 T:18446744072362329520 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::OnExit() 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [smb://192.168.0.5/TV Shows/The Big Bang Theory/6x02 - The Decoupling Fluctuation.mkv] 11:39:36 T:18446744072305921376 NOTICE: EMBY.player -> DEBUG:: ONPLAYBACK_STOPPED 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::CloseFile() 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: waiting for threads to exit 11:39:36 T:18446744072305921376 NOTICE: EMBY.player -> Clear playlist properties. 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: finished waiting 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::CloseFile() 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: waiting for threads to exit 11:39:36 T:18446744072285177080 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: finished waiting 11:39:36 T:18446744072320273216 ERROR: Skin Helper Service --> ERROR in plugin.py ! --> Error -5 while decompressing data 11:39:55 T:18446744072310048640 ERROR: static bool XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory(const CURL&, CFileItemList&, const Permissions haven't changed and, like I said, some files play fine (even ones that have previously failed). Angelblue05 4130
If you are using native playback mode, and your path looks fine, then nothing the addon can do to fix this. Playback is 100% up to Kodi in this situation. Enable Kodi debug to see what Kodi is complaining about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
