zerosan 3
I'm getting huge runtimes displayed in my library for one tv-show. example: ffprobe of file: ffprobe version N-79277-g0c90b2e Copyright (c) 2007-2016 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 5.3.0 (GCC) configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-version3 --disable-w32threads --enable-avisynth --enable-bzlib --enable-fontconfig --enable-frei0r --enable-gnutls --enable-iconv --enable-libass --enable-libbluray --enable-libbs2b --enable-libcaca --enable-libfreetype --enable-libgme --enable-libgsm --enable-libilbc --enable-libmodplug --enable-libmfx --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libopus --enable-librtmp --enable-libschroedinger --enable-libsnappy --enable-libsoxr --enable-libspeex --enable-libtheora --enable-libtwolame --enable-libvidstab --enable-libvo-amrwbenc --enable-libvorbis --enable-libvpx --enable-libwavpack --enable-libwebp --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libxavs --enable-libxvid --enable-libzimg --enable-lzma --enable-decklink --enable-zlib libavutil 55. 20.100 / 55. 20.100 libavcodec 57. 34.100 / 57. 34.100 libavformat 57. 32.100 / 57. 32.100 libavdevice 57. 0.101 / 57. 0.101 libavfilter 6. 41.100 / 6. 41.100 libswscale 4. 1.100 / 4. 1.100 libswresample 2. 0.101 / 2. 0.101 libpostproc 54. 0.100 / 54. 0.100 Input #0, avi, from 'LHOP - S05E01 - As Long As We're Together(Part 1).avi': Duration: 00:45:16.38, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 1078 kb/s Stream #0:0: Video: mpeg4 (Advanced Simple Profile) (XVID / 0x44495658), yuv420p, 640x480 [SAR 1:1 DAR 4:3], 938 kb/s, 29.97 fps, 29.97 tbr, 29.97 tbn, 29.98 tbc Stream #0:1: Audio: mp3 (U[0][0][0] / 0x0055), 48000 Hz, stereo, s16p, 128 kb/s the length in the library is 45273006 mins, this also causes those tv shows to not be marked as watched automatically. Luke 37118
can you provide a sample file for testing? thanks.
zerosan 3
I've provided a link to the file in a private message, I don't have a smaller file with the problem on hand.

Luke 37118
For me that file came up correct at 45 mins. maybe you just happened to end up with an ffmpeg build that has some issues? is this on windows?
zerosan 3
Yeah, it's on windows, I'll check what version it is, how do I make sure what version emby is using?
Luke 37118
If you can post your server log I'll be able to tell, thanks.
zerosan 3
I've supplied the log via private message. I used the ffprobe.exe that showed up in the server.log btw. I get the correct time when I probe manually. I readded the episode and still get the wrong time, I also made sure beforehand that I have no ffprobe and ffmpeg in my PATH, to prevent possible interference. EDIT: Does the refresh button also make emby recheck the runtime of the file? Edited October 24, 2016 by zerosan
Luke 37118
Yes refreshing will do that
zerosan 3
Is ffprobe or ffmpeg used for this? Every ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe.exe on my computer returns the correct time in its output for the file I supplied to you, this is quite strange. Are there any more indepth tests I can run to see where the problem lies? Edited October 24, 2016 by zerosan
Luke 37118
Can you run this with ffprobe ffprobe -i "{0}" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format substitute {0} with your file path, then attach the output. thanks ! jns1986 0
@@jns1986, what browser and version are you using? if you try a different browser do you see the same thing? thanks. The problem is persistent across browsers (safari, firefox, chrome, both win 10 and Mac OS). My current server version is 3.2.28.1 beta (Win 10) but the problem started using the stable channel ( I subscribed to the beta channel for this reason)..
