Feature Req's for Live

Not sure if this is the correct forum for reqs but:

Ability to see the stuff currently being recorded on the Dashboard (and a notification that a recording has started, ended).  Perhaps a calendar for upcoming recordings as well?

Ability to see what's recording on the channel guide (red record icon, like existing DVR UI's).

How doe you stop recording?  I see a "save" button, but when I hit it, the episode continued to record.  This is a problem for error prone wives.

Ability to change naming convention method.  On Linux, spaces in a filename are a pita... just a simple regex to replace space w/ dot would be sufficient.

Ability to change naming structure,  In my (most?) cases root folder is Series Name, next level is Season #, to match how downloaded TV stuff works.

Ability to choose encoding of the ts file.  I like all my stuff to be .mkv, the quality/audio configurable maybe?

When searching for a TV show, the air date should appear in the result w/o having to mouse over the icon (ideally sorted by nearest air date).

Maybe I've not played with it long enough, so apologize if this stuff is taken care of already.  Anyway, looking great so far.  Pretty pumped.

I am not sure what device you're using or if you're using Emby Live TV but the 1st 2 requests and the last request you have made already exist. On the 1st request it's not exactly a calendar view, but almost like that.

- Requested in this thread: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/38584-live-tv-recordings-in-progress-dashboard-view/

Ability to see what's recording on the channel guide (red record icon, like existing DVR UI's)

- This is already in Guide once you set recordings.

Ability to choose encoding of the ts file.  I like all my stuff to be .mkv, the quality/audio configurable maybe?

- You have the option in LIVE TV - SETTINGS in Emby Server to either encode to MP4 or MKV container.

Anyway, looking great so far.  Pretty pumped

1 and 2 not working on server .5986, lemme know if it's something that's available in .72

No recording indicator icon in .5986, maybe it's a recent addition.  EDIT:  I take that back.  I had to close the Chrome tab and reload Emby in the browser to see the red dot.

I only see an option to encode to mp4 in .5986.  Requires a more recent build?

Don't get me wrong, this implementation is awesome... I dont want to ruffle any feathers (if it weren't written in .Net, I'd be all over contributing), just wanted to make some suggestion/ask for some guidance.

I am on the Beta Server build (3.1.171.0). It has mp4 and mkv encode options. Record indicators also show in guide.

Same here. I do notice that sometimes I have to refresh my browser before I see the red indicators.

Ok, upgraded to .720 and the .mkv container is now an option.  Nice!  I also figured out why the folder structure was weird...  I had the "create sub-folders for categories" ticked.  I must say, this is really cool.  Excellent work so far devs!
