moviefan 184
I get that Win10 isn't officially supported with WMC, but I saw some other users indicating it worked for them so I was doing some testing tonight and got some really odd behavior... App opens fine and tells me to select a user. For some reason only my main (admin) user is available. None of the other ones show up. Once I select that user, all of my TV shows are populated, but none of the other folders I have configured in Emby server even show up. The Movies by Genre category is there, but contains nothing. It's like this version doesn't recognize movies for some reason. Very odd.
moviefan 184
I just realized what is causing this. It is connecting by default to a test server that I setup on my Synology. Is there a way to change the server it is connecting to? Can't seem to find this. The only options in the Config menu are connect to a server automatically or always connect to this server (the wrong one) at startup. moviefan 184
I guess I at least resolved the issue. I just stopped the service on Synology. Then connected. It found it automatically. And then I set it to always connect to that one. Would be nice if there were some way to actually change the setting or manually choose instead of doing it automatically. ebr 14912
The user menu has a "Switch Server" button on it.
moviefan 184
Where is this "Switch Server" button? This is what I see on the User Menu when I am having this issue:
ebr 14912
Make sure the server you want to connect to is discoverable on the network. Be sure udp traffic is allowed to it.
Luke 37062
You can also always just connect manually as well.
moviefan 184
It's on the same network and I can find it as soon as I shut down the Synology service. How do I connect to it manually in this case? If the Synology service is also running at the same time it automatically connects and I have no way of manually connecting. I just get Manual Login option.
ebr 14912
I'm not sure why the system isn't picking up both servers but for a quick fix if you shut down the server you don't want to connect to and allow it to connect to the server you do - you can then configure the system to always connect to that server.
