eblue 1
My Samsung 4k TV (UN40HU6950F) refuses to play movies that have Emby's 3D settings configured using the Samsung Emby client. It says that no valid MediaSources are available. The files are actually 3D .MK3D files and the TV is not a 3DTV. If I unset the 3D flags in Emby, than it will recognize and play the files in 2D as expected. However, then the Emby Theater client in my home theater won't recognize them as 3D. Other players like Plex, Roku and Amazon TV, recognize and playback these files fine. -e.B

Mediainfo is a tool to get the Codec Infos of a file. http://mediaarea.net/de/MediaInfo Just open an affected movie with it and paste the info here also. FrostByte 5052
Hmm.. I guess the TV isn't smart enough to do it by itself. I'm not sure if the app is written to not try and stream in 3D if the TV can't support it. It probably doesn't do any kind of checking for that. I wonder if there is an api where that can be detected, or if there needs to be an app option to turn off 3D.

Depends, I just want to know if we are talking about hsbs/htab or mvc.
eblue 1
All of my MK3d files are MVC, converted from Blu-ray 3D ISOs. Here is a link to the MediaInfo for one of them. I'll upload the app log file later. -e.B
eblue 1
Here are the app log files... Like I mentioned if I turn off the 3D flag for these movies on the Emby Edit Info page for these movies they will playback fine even with the .MK3D extension intact. So there appears to be something in the Samsung app that is checking for that 3D flag setting. I'm hopeful that this problem will go away if it's possible to tell the app to ignore that flag for non-3D TV's.
