Pixelpaule 4
Hey guys,i have some issues with my emby music library and the DLNA service. Could it be that the folder structure must be exactly the same like the mp3 tags of the mp3 music files?I have always Problems no matter how i sort and tag the mp3 files. For Example:My folder structure:Genre -> Artist -> Album -> SongsGenre -> Variuos Artists -> SongsThe MP3 Tag of an Album:Titel = Titel of the SongArtist = Artist NameGenre = GenreAlbum = Album NameAlbum-Artist = Artist NameThe MP3 Tag of a Various Song:Titel = Titel of the SongArtist = Artist NameGenre = GenreAlbum = GenreAlbum-Artist = Various ArtistIf i use this structure i can't navigate through the Artist and Album Artist on my DLNA devices. On my PS4 or LG Smart TV emby doesn't show them and on BubbleUPnP i can't navigate through them. With the first genre "Deutschrock" (folder) evrything works fine (see Screenshot 1). Bute after this every Artist and Album Artist isn't shown on ps4, LG smart tv ore BubbleUPnP."DnB & Dubstep & Glitch Hop" is the first folder (see Screenshot 2) with the folder "Various" inside. After this folder the issue begins.I think i don't have this problems before updating emby to the new version. Have you something changed at the DLNA Service which could be responsible for this issues? With the Audio Station from Synology i don't have any issues with my folder structure of my music library. So it's apparently possible to work with.Pixelpaule Edited August 3, 2016 by Pixelpaule

Pixelpaule 4
Hey, in the emby web interface everything's fine. I think it has worked with all DLNA devices, before updating emby. I have made some screenshots to explain the problem. I've written some more informations in the screenshots directly. Here you see the Album view. Everything is fine in emby web interface. (screenshot-01.jpg) Here you see the folder structure for the "Various" ("Diverse" in german) folder in the genre "Electro & Dance". Everything is fine in emby web interface. (screenshot-02.jpg) Detail view of the folder "Various" ("Diverse" in german) in the genre "Electro & Dance". joho500 1
I have the same problem in BubbleUPnP and MediaHouse. The artists and album-artists are displayed as jpg file and not as a link to underlying albums. This problem exits for al long time. Also, I'm (still) missing the folder option in dlna. Happy2Play 8282
@@Luke here is an example in Windows 10 DLNA of jpg displaying in Artist, because they are artist on another artists album. They are linked properly in web client but not in DLNA as seen here.

joho500 1
@@Luke, Still most of the artists are displayed as a jpg file in my DLNA apps when using Emby server. I really like Emby but this part is not working for me for a long time now. I now have to use another dlna server aside of Emby to stream my music files. Not a solution I want to keep using. So please, is there a chance you will look into this problem? Cheers, Joost
Luke 37067
It should be resolved for the next release, or probably two releases from now. Thanks.
Happy2Play 8282
Not sure what release this should be resolved in or if it is just a Windows 10 issue but Album Artists and Artists presents a jpg for additional artist and opens as a image for all artists that aren't folder based artists. And Genre presents a jpg and links to a empty folder. Also AC-DC is a folder based artist that doesn't work right either.
