mgworek 121
Since the 3.0.6 update, when access remotely using the web client or the new web theater app, videos will not play. I just get an error says its video can't be played. iOS an Apple TV app has no problems playing anything remotely. It was first reported by someones else to me and my testing today doesn't work. If I connect via VPN and go local address of my server, it doesn't work either. Attached log, there is no transcode log, it doesn't even get to that point. Luke 37098
are there any errors reported in the browser console?
mgworek 121
"Video Error. There was an error playing the video" I would downgrade to try again but don't know how to downgrade the server from a docker. Like I said, local play from the web and remote play from iOS and AppleTv is fine.
Luke 37098
That's not an error you'd see in the browser console. Try using chrome and have the console open by right clicking -> inspect
mgworek 121
Sorry about that. Ok Chrome is working fine remotely . I am asking the other person what they were using. They are android and Microsoft people so I know Safari wasn't being used by them but safari failed for me remotely but is fine locally. I would have thought they used chrome but will find out. mgworek 121
Wanted to mention that I can now finally play remotely in Safari. I just updated to Version 3.0.6030.0 and tried it and worked again. Ive been trying with every release since 3.0.6 and it wouldn't work. The other thing I did this week was update OS X to the latest beta of Sierra so they might have fixed something in Safari as well. Thanks.
